NEW CASTLE —
Santa Claus and all of his friends made in-person visits on Friday to New Castle Area School District children.
The troupe, including Santa and Mrs. Claus, his elves, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, a Christmas tree and two elves, climbed aboard a New Castle fire truck and went from school to school in the district visiting elementary, kindergarten and pre-school children.
The characters danced with the children and Santa listened keenly to Christmas wish lists while members of New Castle High School’s pep band brass entertained with Christmas selections.
Santa’s visit is an annual event, according to Terry Meehan, assistant to the superintendent.
