Photo Gallery, Video: Treasure Hunters Roadshow looking for hidden gems in town

NEW CASTLE — Ever think that you might have $2,000 sitting in a drawer somewhere?

You can find out today and tomorrow.

The Treasure Hunters Roadshow travels across the country to search for hidden gems in communities where it stops. Many people take a variety of items from their homes in hopes of getting top dollar.

The event is taking place at the Hampton Inn, located in Union Township. Today’s hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.

If you believe you have something of value, the Treasure Hunter experts will review your items and offer you a fair-market price. It is then your decision to accept the offer or not.

Sam Gennaro, a local resident, offered his father’s old guitar. Those staffing the roadshow found it to be a 1964 Gibson with a value of $1,800.

Could this happen to you?

You won’t know unless you go.
