Video Clip: Hoyt art students create mosaic for local center

NEW CASTLE — No one knows what Monday’s weather forecast holds for sure, but one thing is certain: it will be a “Starry, Starry Night.”

At the Human Services Center, anyway.

Students from the After School Arts program at the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts have been working on a mosaic that will be installed in the lobby of Human Services Center on Monday. The youngsters range in age from 9 to 12.

All are invited to attend an open house at the Human Services Center at 6 p.m. Monday to view the art and tour the facility.

The kids chose Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry, Starry Night" for inspiration as they meshed hundreds of pieces of colored glass to replicate the landscape. The center, a mental and behavioral health treatment facility, has spent the last several months renovating its public areas with new reception areas and waiting rooms. This piece will be visible to the left upon entering the facility.

The Hoyt also lent other pieces to the facility from its permanent collection that will rotate over time.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
