Faith Story: Meet David Jacobs of Union Township

NEW CASTLE — “God, can you show me your love?”

That’s the question David Jacobs asked years ago, and it began opening some of the most challenging avenues for him. Very quickly though, his eyes were opened at the grace and love that God was showering him with.

Jacobs, 18, who lives in Union Township, said he finds truth in Matthew 7:14: “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

While the road can sometimes be narrow and lonely and what seems to look like something not pleasing to the eye, only those who have traveled on it and have seen the impact can truly say it’s worth it.

And that’s what David Jacobs has to say about putting his life in God’s hands.

Yes. If it’s a more efficient way to run the jail, I’m all for it.
No. I think there would be too many questions of liability for the county.
Not sure. The county seems to be doing a good job of running the jail now. Why break it if it’s not broken?
