NEW CASTLE — Going to church every week, owning a Bible and saying you love Jesus.

Those three things once defined Christianity for Ciara Irwin.

Now, it’s so much more.

Having a testimony doesn’t always mean living a life full of terrible sin and then one day something awful happens and waking up to find God. While that can be mostly true, those Christians who have gone to church their whole lives still seek out what “testimony” means to them.

Ciara said she grew up in church and she didn’t really understand what it meant to be loved by God — that is, until she had nothing else to cling to. A myriad of trials and the breakup of her first romance were “the push back to God.”

This week, Ciara opens her heart and shares her entire faith story in a video interview below.
