Volant resident takes 4-H top spot
An annual Lawrence County Fair tradition helped kick off the 2012 event yesterday. It was the day when the local 4-H named its junior dairy supreme champion, with 20-year-old Kaitlin Martin of Volant taking top honors for her Ayershire cow, Wren.
