Frank and Julia Conti of 1024 Summit St. are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ann Conti of New Castle, and Michael Robert Cox of Struthers, Ohio.
Parents of the future groom are Richard Cox of Youngstown, and Marsha and James Fox of Struthers.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of New Castle High School. She earned a bachelor of science in finance from Penn State, University Park, and is pursuing an MBA at Youngstown State University.
Her future groom is a graduate of Struthers High School and Youngstown State University, where he earned an associate degree in criminal justice.
He is a police officer with the Youngstown Police Department.
An Oct. 9 wedding is being planned at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown. The reception will take place at The Byzantine Center at the Grove, Youngstown.
