Bill and Cathy Cook of 136 Lakewood Road are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Jo Cook, and John Corey Jr. of 2964 Melvin Drive.
Parents of the future groom are John and Peggy Corey of Boardman, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Laurel High School. She attended Clarion University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in both elementary and special education. She then received her master’s degree in educational administration and her K-12 principal certification from Westminster College.
She is a special education teacher in the New Castle Area School District.
Her fiancé graduated from Boardman High School and Youngstown State University. He is a social studies teacher in the New Castle Area School District and head boys basketball coach at Neshannock High School.
The couple will wed on April 17, 2010, at Westminster College’s Wallace Memorial Chapel.
The reception will be at the Lake Club Ohio in Poland, Ohio.
