Russell and Eula McCoy of 610 Grandview Ave. are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Sheila Ann McCoy of Mercer.
Her fiancé, Joshua David Shaffer, also of Mercer, is a son of David and Pamela Shaffer of Hermitage.
Miss McCoy graduated from Union High School and Youngstown State University. She is an air quality engineer for the Department of Environmental Protection.
Her fiancé graduated from Hickory High School and Penn State University. He works for the Army Corps of Engineers as a regulatory specialist.
He is also a member of the National Guard.
A Sept. 4 wedding is being planned for Faith Presbyterian Church in Hermitage.
