Rebecca Elizabeth Tyson and Chad Allen McConnell are announcing their engagement.
Parents of the couple are David and Rebecca Tyson of Slippery Rock and Gary and Anna McConnell of Volant.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Slippery Rock High School and Slippery Rock University.
Her future husband graduated from Wilmington High School and New Castle School of Trades. He is a welder.
Their wedding will take place Oct. 26, 2013, in Wallace Memorial Chapel at Westminster College, with a reception at The New Englander.
