George and Irene Stefanis of 28 Bellaire Drive are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Magdaline Nicole Stefanis of Pittsburgh, and Michael Allen Charnick Jr. The future groom is a son of Mary and Michael Charnick Jr. of McMurray, Pa.
Miss Stefanis is a graduate of Neshannock High School and Duquesne University. She works as an occupational therapist.
Her fiancé graduated from Peters Township High School and also holds his degree from Duquesne. He works for the U.S. Postal Service.
A wedding on Oct. 3, 2009, is being planned for St. George Greek Orthodox Church with a reception at The Lake Club in Poland, Ohio.
