Lauralee Zelesnak, Scott Lees

NEW CASTLE — Lauralee Zelesnak and Scott Lees are announcing their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Beaver Falls High School, Geneva College, Slippery Rock University and Westminster College. She earned a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, and masters degrees in science education and guidance counseling.

She is a biology instructor at Mohawk High School and serves as an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University’s College in High School Biology Program.

Her future groom is a graduate of Peabody High School and served in the Navy. He received an associate degree in electrical engineering from ITT Technical Institute.

He is a professional firefighter for the city of Pittsburgh.

Both are students of the Fowler Wainwright International Institute of Professional Coaching.

They are co-authors of “The Suitable Helpmate Prayer,” a spiritual self-help course that assists singles in finding their soul mates.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
