NEW CASTLE —
Ginny and Stan Lavella of Neshannock Township are announcing the engagement of their son, Michael Thomas Lavella, and Jennifer Lynne Demharter. She is a daughter of Lesa and Ralph Demharter of New Kensington.
The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Neshannock High School and received both his bachelor of arts degree in multimedia arts and his master of science degree in interactive media from Duquesne University.
He is a web developer at the University of Pittsburgh, a visiting online professor at DeVry University and a district webmaster for South Fayette Township School District in McDonald, Pa.
His future wife is a 2002 graduate of Burrell High School and received her bachelor of arts degree in political science and her master of arts degree in teaching from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a high school social studies teacher and musical choreographer at Hampton Township School District in Allison Park and a dance teacher at M&M Dance Academy in Monroeville.
Their wedding is planned for June 22, 2012, in the Outer Banks, N.C.
They plan to live in Monroeville following their marriage.
