Randi N. Johnson, Clark E. Searfoss III

NEW CASTLE — Randi Nicole Johnson and Clark Edward Searfoss III are announcing their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Randall and Michelle Johnson, and Clark Jr. and Judy Searfoss, all of Bessemer.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mohawk High School and attends Youngstown State University.

She is employed in accounting/bookkeeping at SenSource Inc. in Austintown.

Her future groom graduated from Mohawk High School and Pittsburgh Technical Institute.

He is a field technician for ComDoc in Youngstown.

Their wedding will take place June 15, 2013, at St. Anthony Church in Bessemer with a reception to follow at SNPJ Alpine Room.

The Lawrence County commissioners have decided to solicit proposals for the private operation of the county jail. Good idea?

Yes. If it’s a more efficient way to run the jail, I’m all for it.
No. I think there would be too many questions of liability for the county.
Not sure. The county seems to be doing a good job of running the jail now. Why break it if it’s not broken?
