Chris Hoover is announcing the engagement of her daughter, Tabitha Renee Hoover and Darius Reuel Carter of 509 Blaine St. The couple became engaged on Christmas Day.
Parents of the future groom are Darrell R. Carter and Robbin L. Carter.
He graduated from Monroe-Woodbury Senior High School in 1998 and attended Hampton (Va.) University.
He works in sales at Phil Fitts car dealership.
His fiancée is a 2006 graduate of Union High School. She attends college as a psychology major.
A wedding is planned for later this year.
