Ed Mathews Sr. of Pittsburgh and Joanne Brewer of Sewickley are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Mathews, and Michael Roberts.
Both are residents of the North Hills section of Pittsburgh.
Parents of the future groom are Carol and James Roberts Jr. of New Castle.
He is a 1993 graduate of Shenango High School and holds his degree from Robert Morris University. He works for Alcoa Inc., Pittsburgh.
The bride-to-be is an alumna of Bethel Park High School and UPMC Medical Imaging. She is an MRI technician at Magee Women’s Hospital.
The couple became engaged two years ago on the beach in Outer Banks, N.C.
A wedding on May 29, 2010, is being planned at SS. John and Paul Parish, Wexford.
A reception will follow at The Marriott Pittsburgh North.
