L. Richard and Paula A. Powers of Greenville are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Renee Powers, to Joseph Herbert McIlvenny, son of Joseph Edward and Karen Sue McIlvenny of New Castle.
Ms. Powers is a graduate of Greenville High School and is a senior at Grove City College, where she is completing dual majors in mathematics and Spanish.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Neshannock High School and is a senior at Slippery Rock University, majoring in computational physics.
Both will graduate in May, after which they will relocate to Hampton, Va., where they will work at NASA’s Langley Research Center.
A June 19 wedding ceremony is planned at Harbison Chapel at Grove City College.
The reception will be at the Grove City Country Club.
