Gale and Valerie Measel of 455 W. Maitland Lane are announcing the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Kristin Gayle, and Bryan Charles McDowell. Parents of the future groom are Robert and Marsha McDowell of 1215A Mount Jackson Road.
The couple became engaged in Aruba on June 13, 2007.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Neshannock High School who holds her degree from Penn State University, University Park.
She is a 12th-grade English teacher at Mohawk High School.
Her fiancé is a 1999 alumnus of Mohawk High School and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
He is IT security architect at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, Calif.
An engagement party honoring the couple was Dec. 29, 2007, at the Crane Room Grille.
The couple will wed July 26, 2008, at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.
