Published May 15, 2008 06:24 am - Rebecca Bruce, Mark Wendel New Castle News Gary and Judy Bruce of New Castle are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Bruce, and Mark Wendel of 318 E. Fairmont Ave. The future groom is a son of the late Robert and Virginia Wendel. The bride-elect is a graduate of Neshannock High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Russell Sage College and graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Widener University. She is a social worker at Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County. Her fiancé is a graduate of Connellsville High School and Penn State University. He played minor league baseball with the Louisville Cardinals. He also served in both the Air Force and the Army. He is a social worker at Lincoln Behavioral Health in Youngstown. The couple will wed on June 14, 2008, at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Cranberry.
