Salanda Marie Killion of 509 N. Jefferson St. and Alan Steven Smiley of West Pittsburg are announcing their engagement and June wedding plans.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of New Castle High School and Butler County Community College. She is a student and has worked in the biological science and nursing fields. She also served in the Army.
The future groom is also a Ne-Ca-Hi alumnus and a Marine Corps veteran. He works as a Lawrence County corrections officer.
The couple will wed June 7, 2008, at the Pearson Park Gazebo in a ceremony featuring vocalists from New Castle Playhouse Mini-Stars.
