Scott and Amy Bintrim of Nashua Road, Edinburg, are announcing the engagement and wedding of their daughter, Kristin Ann Bintrim, and Philip Daniel McCann. The future groom is a son of Peter and Mary McCann of Nashua Road, New Castle.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Wilmington High School who received her bachelor of science in forensic and investigative sciences with a concentration in biology from West Virginia University in 2006.
She will obtain a master of science degree in forensic genetics in August 2008 from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Her fiancé graduated in 2001 from Wilmington High School and from Westminster College in 2005, receiving a bachelor of science in business administration. He is a police officer with the City of New Castle.
The couple will be married Dec. 6, 2008, at Neshannock Presbyterian Church in New Wilmington.
