  • Ellwood schools budget keeps taxes steady

    The Ellwood City school board held the line on taxes and spending by shrinking staff in its 2012-13 budget. At its June meeting, the board gave final approval to the spending plan that keeps taxes at 15.81 mills. One mill generates about $430,000.

  • Lincoln to stage Shakespeare send-up

    Lincoln High School will present the play “I Hate Shakespeare” at 7 p.m. tomorrow and Thursday in the auditorium. The play takes a comedic look at some of William Shakespeare’s greatest plays, such as “Hamlet,” “Romeo and Juliet” and “Macbeth.”
