The road to a championship goes through Consol Energy Park for the Neshannock and Ellwood City Lincoln baseball teams.
The Wolverines (20-2) will square off against Riverside (18-5) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Consol Energy Park, Washington, Pa., for the WPIAL Class AA crown. Top-seeded Ellwood City, ranked No. 2 in the WPIAL in Class AA by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, is competing in the WPIAL title game for the first time since 2003.
The third-seeded Panthers, ranked No. 3 in the WPIAL in Class AA by the Post-Gazette, are the defending WPIAL and PIAA Class AA champions.
The top-seeded Lancers (20-20 will battle California (19-0) in the WPIAL Class A championship at 5:30 p.m. May 30 at Consol Energy Park.
Neshannock is ranked No. 2 in the WPIAL in Class A by the Post-Gazette. California, which earned the No. 2 seed in the WPIAL playoffs, is ranked No. 1 by the Post-Gazette.
The Lancers are in the championship for the third straight year, losing in 2010 and winning last year.
