District Judges: Listings for March 7

•Danielle Evans, 33, of New Castle, charged by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission with littering near waters.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•Edrina L. Williams, 40, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Anton Moore, 41, of New Castle, disorderly house.

•Ramona Dabney, 40, of New Castle, retail theft.

•Matthew Cwiakala, 29, of New Castle, receiving stolen property and theft by deception.

•Albert John Briggs, 53, of Edinburg, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of driving the wrong way.

•Antonio Anarumo, 17, of New Castle, receiving stolen property, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and three counts of conspiracy.

•Scott Matthew Haley, 31, of New Castle, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.

•Rudolph M. Aldridge Jr., 39, of New Castle, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

•John Thomas Lucchesi, 18, of Ellwood City, charged by Ellwood City police with possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Tucker A. Conklin, 21, of Ellwood City, charged by state police with two counts each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and conspiracy.

•West Side Mini Mart of New Castle, sale of tobacco violation.

•Adel A. Alwekhyan, 36, of New Castle, sale of tobacco violation.

Union Township police charged the following people:

•Robert David Leasure Jr., 54, of New Castle, disorderly conduct and harassment.

•Kienan Ryan Owens, 18, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Tucker A. Conklin, 21, of Ellwood City, charged by state police with four counts each of criminal mischief, burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy.

•Angela R. Kirkland, 44, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with failure to have dog or cat vaccinated, failure to apply for dog license and dogs at large.

•Danielle M. Flak, 24, of New Castle, charged by Shenango Township police with retail theft, intent to possess a controlled substance and adulterating or misbranding any controlled substance.

•Tyler B. Schlobohm, 18, of Volant, charged by New Wilmington police with disorderly conduct.

Neshannock Township police charged the following people:

•Gerry Moore, 55, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence.

•Carl Stiffy, 30, of Volant, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, recklessly endangering another person, reckless driving, backing up vehicle improperly, failure to stop at stop sign, failure to stop and give information or render aid, driving at an unsafe speed, driving with license suspended, operating vehicle without required insurance and driving an unregistered vehicle.

•Brandon Leary McConnell, 24, two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and one count each of possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and intent to possess a controlled substance.

•Brandon D. Bailey, 28, of New Castle, burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.

  • Robbery charges withdrawn

    Charges against Justin Anthony Barry, who was accused in a robbery, have been withdrawn. New Castle police had arrested Barry, 25, of Apt. F, 1214 Highland Ave., earlier this month and charged him with robbery, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, theft and receiving stolen property.

  • gavel.jpg Three more plead guilty in oxycodone ring

    Three more New Castle residents pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of violating the federal drug laws.
    Christopher Klingensmith, 38, of Vine Street, James Cracraft, 39, of Randolph Street and Thomas Klingensmith Jr., 40, of Bellair Drive, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy before U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
    U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton made the announcement Tuesday.

  • police.jpg South Side man faces gun, drug charges

    A South Side man was arrested on gun and drug charges following a traffic stop on the city’s North Hill. Martel Lamar Webb, 19, of 199 Hamilton St. had been wanted by police on charges in a domestic assault case in May when police caught up with him.

  • police.jpg Woman charged for assaulting 1-year-old

    A New Castle woman was arrested and charged with the assault of a year-old child in Scott Township. Nicole Martin, 26, of New Castle was arraigned before District Judge David Rishel on a charge of simple assault. She was lodged in the Lawrence County jail on $1,000 bond.

    The Lawrence County jail received a bomb threat over the weekend. New Castle police reported a call was received at 7:40 p.m. Saturday from a man who said he “was coming up to blow up the jail.”

    A 6-year-old playing in his yard Saturday night said a man tried to abduct him. Pennsylvania State Police said the child, playing on his swing set on Line Street, Perry Township, about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, was approached by a blond, bearded, tattooed man who tried to talk to him.

    Narcotics officers arrested two men and seized heroin in a raid of a house on New Castle’s East Side. New Castle Police Chief Bobby Salem said city police and Lawrence County District Attorney’s detectives served a sealed search warrant at Apartment D, 502 Florence Ave., around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

    New Castle police are investigating a reported drug overdose of a woman found in a car on the city’s West Side. The woman, 29-year-old Misty Blu McKim of Youngstown, was reported to have been in cardiac arrest and had two children in car seats in the back of the car.
