NEW CASTLE —
South Side residents were without power for about an hour Saturday evening after a car hit a power pole.
New Castle police reported that the collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Reynolds Street between Moravia and Mill streets. The impact caused a wire to break on a transformer, creating a disruption in electrical service to local residents, police said.
No injuries were reported. Additional details about the accident were not available yesterday.
