Man charged in South Side break-in

NEW CASTLE — A South Side man accused of breaking into a neighbor’s vacant house is facing charges.

Alex John Benkosky, 21, of 821 S. Mercer St. faces one count each of burglary, criminal trespass, flight to avoid apprehension and criminal mischief.

Police said Benkosky was seen walking behind a vacant house in his neighborhood and didn’t walk back out.

An officer walking in the back yard of the house heard glass breaking on the other side of it and saw a man running south through a church parking lot.

The officer chased the man, later identified as Benkosky, but lost him.

Meanwhile, Benkosky’s father called the police and said he saw him exit the front window of the vacant house.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Are you concerned enough about the Heartbleed bug on the Internet to change all of your social media and website passwords?

Yes. It’s always a good idea to change passwords regularly anyway. I just have so many, I’m not sure where to start.
No. From what I’ve read, companies are still trying to figure out how to fix the flaw. The bad guys will just have access to my NEW passwords, too.
Not sure, but I blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet, right? How’s he going to get us out of this mess?
