Police: Reports for Oct. 19

NEW CASTLE — NEW CASTLE

•Gun offense. Devontae Maurice Rice, 19, of 1007 B. Beech St., was arrested after he allegedly fired a gun at another man on West Reynolds Street during an argument on Sept. 30. Police found the gun in Rice’s pants pocket. No injuries were reported.

•Theft. Copper piping was reported stolen from a house in the 800 block of Dushane Street between Monday and Wednesday. About eight pieces of pipe were cut in the basement.

•Accident. At 3:25 p.m. Oct. 12 on Pearson Street. A van driven by Jessica Eakin, 29, of 507 Florence Ave., was northbound when Gabriella Trayer, 23, of 394 Timber Lane, Edinburg, walked in front of her vehicle near the intersection of East Washington Street and was hit by the van, police said. Trayer sustained moderate injury and was taken to Jameson Hospital for treatment.
