NEW CASTLE


•Burglary. Someone broke into a home in the 700 block of Countyline Street between midnight March 3 and noon March 7. Nothing was reported missing.

•Burglary. Someone entered a house in the 700 block of Blaine Street around 6 p.m. Monday. A caller told police people were inside the house. The front door was open.

•Attempted retail theft. Kristen A. Sipe, 18, of 320 Fairground Road, was arrested for allegedly trying to steal merchandise from a store on Moravia Street around 2 p.m. Tuesday. She tried to grab her purse from an officer and had to be subdued. Police found a spoon, a scouring sponge and two needles inside a stuffed animal. She is charged with retail theft, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Burglary. Police said Jeffrey Hooks, 28, of 201 Boyles Ave. broke into an apartment in the 300 block of Halco Drive between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday and stole an electronic game set, two DVDs and a television. He is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.

•Attempted burglary. Someone tried to break into a home in the 100 block of Terrace Ave. between 2 p.m. Monday and 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

•Criminal mischief. Someone broke the windshield of a sport utility vehicle parked in the 400 block of Neshannock Avenue between 11:30 and 11:50 a.m. Feb. 20. Police have charged Lamar William Madison, 25, of 401-18 Neshannock Ave., with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.

•Burglary. A television was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Beech Street around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

•Andrae Lamont Jackson, 30, of New Castle, charged by the Lawrence County district attorney with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, intent to possess a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of children and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•Cory Kelly, 24, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•James W. Hill III, 25, of Rankin, Pa., disorderly conduct.

•Tadarius Kelley, 26, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Brittney Flak, 19, of New Castle, burglary, criminal trespass, harassment, simple assault and two counts of conspiracy.

•Stephen D. Threats, 23, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Russell B. Malcolm, 33, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•Angela M. DeJesus, 35, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•David J. Desalvo, 47, of New Castle, burglary and criminal trespass.

•Jamie Lynn Wise, 42, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Tristan N. Morgan, 27, of Detroit, defiant trespass.
