Volant couple facing theft charges

NEW CASTLE — A Volant couple are facing charges after police learned stolen items allegedly had been pawned in the man’s name.

New Castle police charged Christopher Michael Cameron, 32, and Amanda Jo Kline, 31, both of 291 Sipe Road, after a woman reported a necklace and an electronic game set missing from her house after the two had visited there.

Police said they contacted pawn and gold dealers in the area and found he had sold a 14 carat gold necklace at a local jewelry store.

Both Cameron and Kline are charged with two counts each of theft, criminal conspiracy to commit theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property, all misdemeanors.

He was issued a summons to appear in court.
