South Side robbery being probed

NEW CASTLE — New Castle police are investigating a robbery on the South Side.

A 22-year-old woman told police she had been walking in the alley between Hamilton Street and Pennsylvania Avenue around 3:30 a.m. May 8 when someone grabbed her from behind and punched her numerous times in the left side of her face.

She said her attacker then choked her and went through her pockets, asking where her money was. She said she fell to the ground and the man ran away.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Jameson Hospital for evaluation.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
