On the Record: Today's police items and district judge reports

NEW CASTLE — Police

NEW CASTLE


•Theft. A radio and GPS system were stolen from a car parked in a downtown lot in the 100 block of North Jefferson Street between noon and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

•Burglary. A hot water tank and a water meter were stolen from a house in the 1400 block of South Jefferson Street Monday.

•Drugs. Police charged Eleanore Cialella, 64, of North Cedar Street with possession of drug paraphernalia after being called to her house for an emergency at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. They reported finding a broken suspected crack pipe, a marijuana pipe, two spoons with suspected drug residue on them and several narcotic pill bottles.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

•Accident. Police said Pasquale M. Amabile IV, 24, of Iraquois Drive, traveling on Mercer Road about 3:20 a.m. March 30, struck a telephone pole, causing the pole to crack in half and resulting in heavy front-end damage to the car. Officers said Amabile had left before they arrived. However, a short time after the accident, they said, he was found at Jameson Hospital for treatment. Officers said charges, including driving while under the influence of alcohol, are pending.

Melissa A. Amodie

•Robert Anthony Pallerino, 52, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

New Castle’s code enforcement department charged the following people:

•Gary L. Moore, 65, of New Wilmington, accumulation of rubbish or garbage.

•Stephen G. Betts, 42, of Ellwood City, stairways, decks, porches and balconies violation.

•Levi Moore, 54, of New Castle, gutters and downspouts violation and failure to display street numbers on dwelling.

•Jana Bortz of New Castle, accumulation of rubbish or garbage.

Jerry G. Cartwright

•Cheryl McGrady, 48, of Ellwood City, charged by state police with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of careless driving, not using low beams and failure to use seat belt.

Jennifer L. Nicholson

•Robert Lee Gordon Jr., 39, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with three counts of intent to possess a controlled substance, two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and one count each of criminal use of a communications facility and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

David B. Rishel

•Keith Myers, 34, of New Castle, charged by the Shenango school district with violation of compulsory attendance required.

•Ryan P. West, 38, of New Castle, charged by Shenango Township police with possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
