STATE


•Accident. Police said Robert A. Root, 19, of Masury, Ohio, northbound on Route 18, Wilmington Township, at 9 p.m. Tuesday, ran off the right side of the highway striking a culvert pipe and mailbox. The vehicle then rolled over. No injuries were reported. Root was cited for careless driving.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•Jason Leroy Howell Jr., 23, of Youngstown, two counts each of possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia and one count each of simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, intent to possess a controlled substance, driving without a license and failure to carry license.

•Marlin D. Scott, 21, of Buffalo, N.Y., four counts of driving under the influence and one count each of turning movements and required signals violation and purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

•Sabrina Lee Suders, 33, of New Castle, burglary, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

•Thomas O. Baker, of Wampum, charged by Wampum police with harassment.

Ellwood City police charged the following people:

•William Rodgers, 41, of New Castle, two counts of unauthorized connections.

•Bridgette Michelle Pacoe, 39, of Ellwood City, unauthorized connections.

•Christine Elizabeth Crepp, 29, of Ellwood City, unauthorized connections.

Shenango Township police charged the following people:

•Mark Anthony Ortiz, 28, of Edinburg, two counts of intent to possess a controlled substance and one count each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Richard Allen Peterson, 35, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

Dog law enforcement charged the following people:

•Jeanne Sabilla, 40, of New Castle, vaccination against rabies required violation.

•Merle Anthony Lytle, 41, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.

•Cody James Duncan, 23, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.

•Sarah Napier, 27, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.

•Velma Albert, 84, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.

•Ralph M. Johnson, 70, of New Castle, vaccination against rabies required violation.

•Marie M. Fundoots, 66, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.

•Michael Paul Amabile, 31, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.

•Alyse Danielle, 24, of New Castle, failure to apply for dog license.
