NEW CASTLE —
•Accident. Tyler Nelson, 19, of New Castle was driving on Route 422, Shenango Township, around 7 p.m. Friday and going too fast for conditions when he hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Shawnee Fife, 43, of New Castle, police said. Nelson was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
•Accident. Police said a vehicle driven by James F. Yobst Jr., 52, of Pittsburgh was stopped at the intersection of Routes 422 and Route 288 on Friday in Shenango Township when it was struck from behind by a car driven by Charlotte Patti, 27, of Freedom.
•Theft. A four-wheeler valued at $1,500 was stolen from a yard at a mobile home park in Slippery Rock Township Saturday or Sunday, police said.
•Criminal mischief. Mailboxes at two homes were damaged on Old Route 422, Slippery Rock Township Saturday or Sunday, police said.
•Accident. Vehicles operated by Valerie Alick of 1542 Sunny Ave. and Camille Prothero of 15 Buena Vista Way collided at the intersection of Maitland Lane and Plank Road at 8:20 a.m. Thursday. Police said Alick failed to stop at the stop sign and struck Prothero’s vehicle. Both cars were towed. No injuries were reported.
•Arrest. Terrica Lynn Gregory, 35, of Hermitage was charged with theft and receiving stolen property on Wednesday, according to reports. Police said about $1,900 in jewelry had been stolen from a residence in the township during the past few months and an investigation showed that Gregory had stolen the items while cleaning the home, then sold them at a gold store in Sharon.
•Thefts. Police said someone entered numerous vehicles, most of them unlocked, that were parked on Pulaski Road and Mission Meade, Lattavo, Sunnybrook and Fairway drives on April 12 and 13. Various items were stolen.
