STATE


•Accident. Police said Melissa E. Schaible, 23, of New Castle, lost control of her car while westbound on Route 288 in Wayne Township at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday and crossed the road and hit a guard rail. Her car spun and then hit the guard rail again. No injuries were reported.

•Accident. The vehicles of Anne Rukovena, 94, of New Castle, and Breonna N. Navolio, 20, of Ellwood City, collided at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday. Police said Rukovena was going south on Ellwood Road in Wayne Township and struck the back of Navolio’s car, which was stopped  waiting to turn left onto Mt. Hope Road. Police said the impact pushed Navolio’s car forward. Both drivers and a passenger in Navolio’s car were treated at Ellwood City Hospital. Rukovena was cited for driving at unsafe speed.  Wayne Township and Chewton volunteer fire departments assisted police.

•Miranda Christine Flak, 22, of New Castle, receiving stolen property, illegal use of plate/card, misuse of plate/card and displaying plate/card in improper vehicle.

•Tabatha Monique Scales-Lanier, 45, of New Castle, defiant trespass and disorderly house

•Lashay Smith, 22, of New Castle, arrest prior to requisition.

Ellwood City police charged the following:

•Sharon Cox, 34, of Ellwood City, disorderly conduct and harassment.

•Michael Cleckley, 26, of Pittsburgh, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

•Dustin Craig Nicoll, 35, of New Castle, possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, harassment and defiant trespass.

New Castle police charged the following:

•Loretta A. Harrity, 44, of New Castle, disorderly house.

•Nathan Perkins, 52, of New Castle, disorderly house.

Union Township police charged the following:

•Athena Trott, 18, of New Castle, retail theft.

•Destiny Mae Youngworth, 18, of New Castle, retail theft.

•James Edward Chalfont, 18, of New Castle, retail theft.

•Kathlene L. Graham, 45, of New Castle, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct.

•Clyde M. Devore, 57, of New Castle, harassment.

DAVID B. RISHEL

•James W. Hogue, 70, of Ellwood City, charged by the Pennsylvania Game Commission with unlawful taking/possession of game or wildlife.
