Woman charged for assaulting 1-year-old

NEW CASTLE — A New Castle woman was arrested and charged with the assault of a year-old child in Scott Township.

Nicole Martin, 26, of New Castle was arraigned before District Judge David Rishel on a charge of simple assault. She was lodged in the Lawrence County jail on $1,000 bond.

Pennsylvania state police said charges were filed because Martin’s actions, at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, caused the victim to strike a wall and the side of a refrigerator during an argument in a Harlansburg Road house.

Police said the victim sustained redness, swelling, bruising and abrasions on his face and forehead. He was transported to Grove City Hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Lawrence County Children and Youth Services was also contacted and told of the incident.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
