NEW CASTLE


•Burglary. About 10 feet of copper pipe was reported stolen from a house in the 800 block of Oak Street between Oct. 12 and 17.

•Burglary. A radio was reported stolen from an apartment on Big Run Street between noon ad 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18.

STATE

 •Theft. A New Wilmington resident told police he tried to buy an accordion through eBay Inc. for $2,075 on Oct. 7. Police said the man paid using Money-gram which was received by the apparent seller at 7:18 a.m. on Oct. 8, but the accordion was never sent.

District judges

•Richard A. Martez, 21, of St. Louis, charged by New Castle police with robbery, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property and harassment.

•Rosemarie Gibson, of Slippery Rock, charged by New Castle code enforcement department with weeds, trees and ornamental shrubs violation, accumulation of rubbish or garbage and failure to cut weeds or grass.

•Robert Berchtold, 21, of New Galilee, charged by the Pennsylvania Game Commission with failure to provide satisfactory evidence.

•Paul Lynch, of New Castle, charged by municipal code enforcement with violation of borough ordinance.

•Spring Joy Smith, 41, of New Castle, charged by Union Township police with defiant trespass.

•Nicole Doherty, 32, of New Castle, charged by dog law enforcement with pet confinement and control violation and failure to vaccinate against rabies.

Neshannock Township police charged the following:

•Darlene Rae Johnston, 57, of New Castle, retail theft.

•Reno A. Morella, 18, of New Castle, disorderly house violation.

•Suellen Lynne Staph, 43, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of using an improper signal.

New Wilmington police charged the following:

•Ellie Young, 22, of New Wilmington, harassment.

•Brady W. Young, 55, of New Wilmington, harassment.
