NEW CASTLE —
To Erika Temperato and Justin Martino of New Middletown, Ohio, a daughter on Sept. 12, 2013.
To Rick and Leah Brown of New Castle, a son on Sept. 13, 2013.
•Accident. Police said a car driven by Adrienne Poullas, 27, of Hubbard, Ohio, stopped on the ramp from Route 18 to I -376 East in Shenango Township at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday and was hit from behind by a car driven by Mark Desalvo, 36, of West Middlesex. Police said Desalvo sustained minor injury.
•Burglary. Various items were reported stolen from a house in the 800 block of Gilmore Road in Little Beaver Township, sometime before Aug. 30.
•Accident. Police said a car driven by Florence White, 87, of Cecil Avenue, pulled from Plank Road , into the path of the vehicle of Rhealyn S. Cortez, 32, of Mercer Road, going north on Mercer Road at 1 p.m. Thursday. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and ended up in the ingress of Shenley Square. Both cars were towed and both drivers were taken to Jameson Hospital. Officers said White will be cited for a stop sign violation.

•Gary L. Clark, 40, of New Castle, charged by the Lawrence County district attorney with bad checks.
New Castle police charged the following:
•Joshua Lee Watson, of Moundsville, W.V., two counts each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and conspiracy and one count each of possession of contraband/controlled substance and criminal use of a communications facility.
•Walter Eyerman, 32, of McKees Rocks, two counts each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and conspiracy and one count of possession of contraband/controlled substance.
•Qualin Antwan Davis, 31, of New Castle, two counts each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia and one count each of possession of firearm prohibited, firearms not to be carried without a license, driving under the influence and driving with license suspended.
•Paul Robertson, 30, of New Castle, three counts each of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and intent to possess a controlled substance and one count of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
•Justin Anthony Barry, 26, of New Castle, receiving stolen property.

•William Joseph Wigton, 46, of New Galilee, charged by the Lawrence County district attorney with failure to produce license and failure to have dog or cat vaccinated.
•Jacob Daniel Zorens, 25, of New Castle, charged by Union Township police with retail theft.
