•Cited. Police said two counts of criminal trespass will be filed against Robert D. Leasure Jr., 54, of 201 Boyles Ave. Police said Leasure had been treated at Jameson Hospital then released, but refused to leave hospital property and was lying in bushes outside the facility. He was taken into custody and transported to the police department, where he was told he would receive citation by mail. However, upon his release, police said, Leasure lay on the sidewalk in front of the police department and would not leave. Additional criminal trespass charges were filed, and he was placed in a holding cell while paperwork was completed.
•Charged. J’vaughn A. Cousin, 18, of 642 Brentwood Ave., Warren, Ohio, was cited for possession of a controlled substance (Roxicodone) following a traffic stop about 3:50 a.m. April 5.
•Domestic disturbance. Sunshine Marie Lyskowka, 20, of 408 W. Grant St., was cited for simple assault and harassment after police were called to a disturbance at West Laurel Avenue about 5:30 p.m. Monday.
•Theft from vehicle. Police charged Jakob Matthew Hill, 18, of 924 Hazel St., with possession of instruments of crime, possession of a concealed, prohibited offensive weapon, theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night and disorderly conduct. Officers said Hill was arrested after they received a call that someone was trying to break into an unsecured Jeep parked in the 400 block of East Euclid Avenue about 1:25 a.m. Monday. Among the items police found in Hill’s possession were a flash light, a stun gun, a folding knife, black gloves and a white bandana.
•Cited. Ashley Renee Tanner, 28, of 618 Division Ave., Ellwood City, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to an alley in the 100 block of North Ray Street about 11:55 p.m. Monday when neighbors noticed an unfamiliar car parked in the alley, flashing its lights.
•Burglary. Police said assorted jewelry and cash were taken from a house in the 1000 block of North Cedar Street about 3 a.m. Tuesday.
•Hit-and-run. An unknown vehicle struck the side mirror of a 2010 Chevy Malibu that was parked in the 700 block of North Mercer Street at 11 p.m. Monday.
•Theft. A wallet, iPod and cell phone were taken from a 1997 Ford F-150 truck parked in the 1700 block of Morris Street between midnight Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
•Burglary. Police were told about 60 feet of copper pipe, valued at $200, was taken from a vacant house in the 700 block of Blaine Street between 2 p.m. Saturday and 12:15 p.m. Monday.
•Attempted theft. Someone entered a locked garage in the 2200 block of West Pittsburg Road between 11 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday. Officers were told locks on a storage trailer had been cut and tools inside the trailer were moved, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
•Theft. Assorted scrap metal, valued at $1,000, two stainless steel valves, a set of torches, three oxygen/acetylene tanks, a weed whacker and an aluminum tailpiece for a helicopter were taken from 400 Industrial Street between 1 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Monday. Police were told locks had been cut from five storage trailers, but items were taken from only one of the trailers.
•Burglary. A forklift extension was taken from a storage shed on Martin Road, Slippery Rock Township, April 5.
•Accident. Police said an unknown motorist, driving on a private road at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, backed into a pickup truck owned by Larry Bintrim, 65, of New Castle. Police said a BMW, on Bintrim Farms Lane in Scott Township, backed out of the road as Bintrim followed him, but stopped prior to pulling onto Countyline Road, backed up, struck the pickup truck then fled.
•Accident. Kevin W. Wallick, 24, of Enon Valley, told police he had swerved to miss a deer as he was westbound on Route 108 in SNPJ Borough at 2:20 a.m. Sunday. His vehicle left the road, hit a ditch and rolled over. Police said no injuries were reported.
•Criminal mischief. Police said the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in Round Street, Union Township, was struck by a blunt object before 1:15 a.m. April 5. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at (724) 598-2211.
•Theft from motor vehicle. A small amount of cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at a Hickory Township residence between 9 p.m. March 30 and 9 a.m. March 31.
•Driving under the influence. Daryl O. Daniels, 31, of Ashberry Lane, was cited on two counts of driving while under the influence of alcohol and one count each of driving on the wrong side of the road and careless driving. Police said Daniels was observed at 1 a.m. Saturday operating his vehicle in a careless manner on Wilmington Road at Nesbitt Road.
