Police: Reports for Nov. 9

•Criminal mischief. The driver and passenger side door lock cylinders were damaged on a car parked in the 200 block of Second Street between midnight Monday and midnight Tuesday.

•Criminal mischief. Someone threw a block through the window of a door at a home in the 1200 block of Huron Avenue Tuesday. The resident said someone knocked on the door a couple of times before the incident occurred.

•Burglary. A purse was stolen from a house in the 1700 block of East Washington Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday. The resident heard a noise inside and found the lights on in the upstairs hallway and bedroom, and two men rifling through items. The resident yelled and they ran out, police said.

•Trespassing. Alonzo Shaquille Fitzpatrick, 30, of 1134 Parkwood Court is charged with defiant trespass for being at Crestview Gardens while on the no-trespassing list.

•Criminal mischief. Someone smashed windows on a car parked in the 200 block of North Cascade Street between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

•Theft. A .45-caliber handgun was reported stolen from a car parked in the 500 block of South Walnut Street between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

•Assault. Police charged Jason Paul Jenista, 30, of 725 Altman Road, with simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person. He allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat, punched her in the face, breaking her nose, and threatened to kill her.


•Theft. A car was stolen and other vehicles entered and items stolen from them on Route 168 in Hickory Township between 1:30 and 5 a.m. Oct. 31. New Castle police found the stolen car later on North Mercer Street in the city.

•Criminal mischief. A sign was damaged on Main Street in Hillsville between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Saturday.

•Accident. Police said Zachery J. Howarth, 27, of New Galilee, was northbound on Route 168 around 2 a.m. Saturday when his right front tire went flat. His car went off the road, hit a guard rail and continued about 50 feet into a driveway. Howarth then left, police said. He was not injured, police said, adding charges are pending.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a house in the 1500 block of Wampum-Mount Air Road in Little Beaver Township between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Electronic items and jewelry were reported stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at (724) 598-2211.
