Police: Reports for Sept. 18

•Theft from vehicle. Police said three unlocked vehicles at two residences on Shady Lane Drive were entered early Friday morning. Various items were taken. Police urge residents to keep vehicles locked and report any suspicious activity by calling Neshannock Township police.


•Criminal mischief. Police said an estimated $100 worth of damage was done to chain link fence on Butler Avenue in Perry Township between 11 a.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Sunday. Police said the fence encloses a dog pen.

•Burglary. Copper pipe and wire were removed from a home in the woods west of Smiley Stop Road, Wayne Township. Police said the incident took place between 1 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.

•Theft. A .357 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol was taken from a house on Dutch Ridge Road, Slippery Rock Township, between Aug. 23 and Sept. 6.

•Burglary. Jewelry, cash and an old Harrington and Richardson pistol were taken from a house on Shaffer Road, Slippery Rock Township, Friday. Police said the front door had been kicked in.

•Theft. A dozen large truck batteries and about 10 old boat motors were taken from a property in the 300 block of Henry Street, Chewton, between Wednesday and Friday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at (724) 598-2211.



•Accident. Police said Mya B. Davis, 21, of Beaver Falls, was northbound on Route 18 in Big Beaver Borough when she hit a motorcycle driven by Zachary T. Zelesnak, 32, of Wampum. The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. Saturday as Zelesnak, also northbound on Route 18 and traveling in front of Davis, turned left into a private driveway. Police said Davis pulled into the on-coming lane to pass, sideswiped the motorcycle then continued north on Route 18. Police said Zelesnak sustained minor injury and Davis was cited for careless driving.
