Police: Reports for Nov. 28


•Accident. Police said Rebecca E. Lutes, 62, of New Castle, was westbound on Route 422 just east of I-376 at 5:45 a.m. Sunday when she struck a deer. Lutes was not injured, police said, but her car had to be towed.

•Burglary. Someone entered an unlocked home on Continental Lane in Hickory Township Nov. 2 or 3 and took two televisions and a blanket.

•Burglary. Someone entered a home in the 1600 block of East Poland Avenue in North Beaver Township between Oct. 13 and 20 and took cash and Pittsburgh Steelers tickets.

•Harassment. Police said someone placed feces in a mailbox on Maple Lane in Wayne Township Nov. 19 or 20.

•Accident. Officers said Eric A. Sulkowski, 22, of Portersville lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on Dutch Ridge Road near Hogue Road at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
