North Hill shots fired

NEW CASTLE — New Castle police received calls Thursday that multiple shots were fired on the North Hill.

Police said the matter was reported around 11:50 p.m. in the area of East Laurel Avenue at Blaine Street. Police also were advised that a man was acting suspiciously in the 700 block of Blaine Street.

They said the man was gone when they arrived and there was no other evidence of gunshots.
