•Jennifer Park, 35, New Castle —Three to 23 1/2 months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for 85 days served followed by two years probation, to run concurrently with any other sentence. Items of jewelry recovered are to be returned to the victim after 30 days. She pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy to commit burglary.

•Jennifer Park, 35, New Castle —One year probation, costs of prosecution, $167 restitution to the victim, jewelry recovered shall be returned to the victim after 30 days. She pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property.

•Jennifer Park, 35, New Castle — One year probation, costs of prosecution. She pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property.

•Heather M. Wise, 34, New Castle — Six months probation, costs of prosecution, $7.97 restitution to Walmart, enroll in an adult literacy class. She pleaded guilty to retail theft.

•Heather M. Wise, 34, New Castle — Six months probation, costs of prosecution. She pleaded guilty to retail theft.

•Zane Reza Fustos, 22, New Castle — Eight days to six months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for eight days served. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.

•Zane Reza Fustos, 22, New Castle — A $150 fine. He pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Donald William Wansitler, 34, New Castle — Seven days to 12 months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for one day served and work release granted, costs of prosecution, $200 fine and $59.88 restitution to Giant Eagle. Imposition of the sentence is delayed so defendant may obtain work release papers. He is ordered to report to the jail on or before 9 a.m. Jan. 5. He pleaded guilty to retail theft.

•Christopher Lee Hunt, 24, New Castle — Five days to 23 months in the Lawrence County jail with credit for time served and costs of prosecution. He pleaded guilty to simple assault.

•Bruce Allen Davis, 50, New Castle — One year probation and costs of prosecution. He pleaded guilty to harassment.

•Bruce Allen Davis, 50, New Castle — Two years probation, costs of prosecution, $3,318 restitution to Lawrence County Housing Authority. He pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.

•Deborah Lynne Burns, 53, New Castle — Twelve months in the intermediate punishment program with the first seven days on house arrest with electronic monitoring and the remaining 11 months and 23 days on probation, costs of prosecution, $12.06 restitution to Shop ‘n Save, and to continue with her mental health treatment. She pleaded guilty to retail theft.

•John Mesko, 24, New Castle — Six to 12 months in a state correctional institution with credit for 146 days served, costs of prosecution, $1 restitution to the victim. He pleaded guilty to defiant trespass.

•John Mesko, 24, New Castle — Probation is revoked on a 2006 sentence and he is resentenced on a criminal conspiracy charge to serve six months to two years in a state correctional institution and to pay costs of prosecution.

•John Mesko, 24, New Castle — Probation is revoked on a 2006 sentence and he is resentenced on a criminal conspiracy charge to serve six months to two years in a state correctional institution to be served consecutively with the previous sentence.

    The state fire marshal has determined a blaze at the Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center was caused by carelessness. Trooper David Jungling issued his report Friday and said the blaze was determined to have been caused by the careless disposal of smoking materials.

  • Police called to Halco Drive disturbance

    An apparently intoxicated Halco Drive man drew a crowd Thursday night. New Castle police were called about 6:30 p.m. and found a 19-year-old man cutting his face and head with the razor blade of a utility knife.

    Two people were injured in a pair of accidents Thursday, New Castle police reported. One involved a car that went over an embankment off West Pittsburg Road in Taylor Township around noon.

    Police have charged four people arrested during a drug raid Wednesday in Union Township. Members of the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force executed a sealed search warrant at 27 Spring St. All four suspects live at that address, according to court records.

    A New Castle man who hit a tree in Pulaski Township has been admitted to St. Elizabeth Health Center. According to Pulaski Township police, Adam Welsh, 36, of 202 E. Fairmont Ave., was eastbound on Route 422 about 1:30 a.m. Thursday when his pickup truck left the road.

  • East Side garage ‘total loss’ in fire

    The New Castle police department fire investigator was called for a blaze at a garage. The three-bay garage at 626 Superior St. was a total loss, according to New Castle firefighters, who were called about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday. They remained at the scene until nearly 3 a.m.

  • Barletto.jpg Hearings in fatal crashes are postponed

    A hearing for the woman accused of striking a police cruiser and killing a Shenango Township officer has been rescheduled. Kylee Gwen Barletto, 26, of 693 Hoover Road, will face a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. June 6. It had been scheduled for Thursday morning.

  • Shenango man accused of breaking into car

    A Shenango man was arrested after he allegedly was caught breaking into a car on New Castle’s East Side. New Castle police charged Jessie Lauderbaugh, 23, of Highview Drive with fleeing from police, theft from a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and loitering and prowling at night.
