Man charged in burglary

NEW CASTLE — An Ellwood City man has been charged in the burglary of a borough business.

David Joseph Bosh III, 30, of 817 Rear South St. was charged by Ellwood City police with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.

Police said they were dispatched to My House Tobacco, 312 Fourth St., at 2:22 a.m. Sunday. Surveillance video showed Bosh using a brick to break a front window, then enter the store through the window, police said. Bosh was then seen taking some aromatic potpourri from behind the counter, according to police.

Police said they then went to Bosh’s residence where 24 bags of potpourri were seized.

Bosh was arraigned by District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright and released on $5,000 bond.
