New Castle police charged the following people:

•Freeman M. Bankston IV, 41, of New Castle, intent to possess a controlled substance, distributing a small amount of marijuana/not for sale, disorderly conduct and two counts of turning movements and required signals violation.

•Aleea Jean Stowe, 26, of Pulaski, intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Ti-Yonda Mikell Brothers, 34, of New Castle, unauthorized use of a motor or other vehicle, harassment and driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked.

•Kevin Gilmore, 38, of Edinburg, retail theft.

•Felicia Megal Abraham, 29, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with disorderly conduct, defiant trespass and public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

State police charged the following people:

•Scott A. Jackson, 19, of Wampum, burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, theft from a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy.

•Ryan Austin Nixon, 18, of New Castle, burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, theft from a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking and conspiracy.

•Angela Renee Kirkland, 44, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with simple assault and harassment.

Milwaukee catcher Martin Maldonado has been suspended five games for sucker punching Pittsburgh’s Travis Snider during a bench clearing brawl on Sunday. You OK with that suspension?

Yes. Seems fair.
No. Baseball NEVER gets it right in these situations. Should have been at least 20 games for his sucker punch into a pile of players.
Not sure, but I’d love to see baseball be like hockey and allow two guys to fight for a while before breaking it up. Let’s see how tough Maldonado is then.
