NEW CASTLE


•Burglary. Police responded to a burglar alarm around 1:25 a.m. Wednesday at a house in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. They confiscated a backpack containing a red gym bag that was inside the house but did not belong there.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•Robert William Elliot Jr., 36, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•John Hogue, 51, of Ellwood City, intent to possess a controlled substance and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

•James Thomas Stewart Jr., 24, of New Castle, defiant trespass.

•Henry Lawrence Grannis Jr., 23, of Ellwood City, simple assault and criminal trespass.

•Montral Davon Johnson, 36, of New Castle, three counts of simple assault and one count each of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, fleeing or attempting to elude officer, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, making repairs to or selling offensive weapons, and harassment.

•Charles P. Warren, 49, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to keep right.

•Gary Lawrence Rand, 27, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to obey traffic control devices.

•Noah Christopher Vinroe, 20, of New Castle, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

•Robert E. Wise, 52, of New Castle, harassment and criminal mischief.

New Castle’s code enforcement department charged the following people:

•Travis Dummar, 32, of New Castle, failure to cut weeds or grass and accumulation of rubbish or garbage.

•Gary Moore, 64, of New Wilmington, failure to obtain or renew residential rental property permit, requirement to obtain permits violation and residential rental property permit violation.

•David May of New Castle, exterior paint violation.

•John Budai of New Castle, two counts of exterior paint violation.

•Eugene Hilton of New Castle, windows, skylight and door frames violation, doors violation, exterior paint violation, exterior walls violation and failure to display street numbers on dwelling.

•Robert Michael Haag, 37, of Edinburg, charged by Mahoning Township police with two counts of simple assault and one count of terroristic threats.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•James George Fedor, 22, of New Castle, use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Latia A. Sisco, 21, of New Castle, criminal mischief.
