NEW CASTLE —
•Driving under the influence. Police said they were patrolling on Route 388 near Center Church Road at 12:50 a.m. Sunday when a vehicle was spotted coming head-on in the cruiser’s lane. According to officers, the vehicle swerved back into the correct lane and police stopped it. They identified the driver as Wesley Newton, 34, and said he failed a field sobriety test. He was arrested, taken to Ellwood City Hospital and given a blood test that officers said came back with a 0.227 percent blood alcohol count.
•Retail theft. Police said a 17-year-old female was caught taking makeup products valued at $27.27 from Kmart on March 18.
•Retail theft. Police said a 17-year-old male was caught taking an Xbox game and music CD from Kmart on March 18. The value was listed at $33.98.

•John Salomon, 27, of New Castle, possession of an instrument of crime, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
•David Quear, 22, of New Castle, robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, abandoning vehicle on highway, driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked, possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Michael Patrick Quear, 19, of New Castle, flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment.
•Praythin Reed, 50, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence.
•Christopher Ryan Perrone, 19, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence, driving with no rear lights, intent to possess a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Kim Albert, 58, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.
•Courtney Marie Probst, 19, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.
•Phillip W. Hooks, 65, of New Castle, distributing marijauna/not for sale, and public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•Michael Allen Henry Jr., 20, of Ellwood City, making repairs to or selling offensive weapons, corruption of minors, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor and institutional vandalism/cemetery.
•Michael Francis Abbinanti, 24, of New Castle, two counts of terroristic threats and one count each of driving under the influence and harassment.
•Amber Jane Irving, 23, of Ellwood City, terroristic threats and harassment.
•Ronald James Stafford Sr., 50, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with defiant trespass and criminal trespass.
