Two flown from scene of Hickory accident

NEW CASTLE — At least two people were hurt in a three-vehicle collision in Hickory Township Tuesday afternoon.

Two helicopters landed near the scene of the crash at the intersection of Route 388 and Eastbrook-Harlansburg Road.

The helicopters had to land on Route 388 because soft conditions in nearby fields prevented landing there.

Few details and no names were available in connection with the accident at press time. State police were investigating.

Scanner reports indicated a roof had to be cut off one of the vehicles to free a victim.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
