NESHANNOCK

•DUI. Fred William Spor III, 26, of 27 E. Moody Ave. was driving a blue Chevrolet Cavalier on Route 18 at 12:31 a.m. Saturday and was stopped near Decker Drive after police noticed his vehicle weaving. He was arrested for driving under the influence and other traffic violations.

NEW CASTLE

•Accident. One person suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 6:59 a.m. Friday on West Falls Street near Grant Street. Police said Laura A. Gagliordi, 35, of 1808 W. Washington St. was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix east on West Falls Street when she attempted to turn left onto Grant Street. She was struck by 2007 Ford bus, owned by Allied Coordinated Transportation and operated by Daniel A. Malley Jr., 60, of 1705 Wilson Ave. Gagliordi was taken by Noga Ambulance to Horizon Hospital, Farrell, for treatment. Gagliordi was cited for failure to yield.

STATE

•Accident. A one-car accident took place at 1:10 p.m. Thursday on Route 288, south of the Rod and Gun Club, Wayne Township. Police said Sean C. Rodgers, 27, of New Castle was traveling north on Route 288 in a 2001 Saab 9-3. He reportedly lost control of his car while entering a series of curves. He eventually drove off the road and into an embankment. The car rolled onto its roof. Noga Ambulance transported Rodgers and passenger James P. Hagberg, 29, of West Pittsburg to Ellwood City Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police said Rodgers was charged for failure to drive on roads laned for traffic.

BEAVER COUNTY

•Accident. A two-vehicle accident occurred at 4:39 p.m. Thursday on Route 18 at the intersection of Wampum Road in Big Beaver Borough. Police said Ruth E. Flinner, 84, of Wampum was driving north on Route 18 in her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. A 1997 Ford Ranger, driven by Merritt J. Matheny, 66, of Ellwood City, reportedly struck the rear end of Flinner’s Cobalt as she started to turn left onto Wampum Road. Matheny’s pickup was also turning left onto Wampum Road. The right front of Matheny’s pickup struck the front left of Flinner’s Cobalt. Neither Flinner, Matheny nor Matheny’s passenger, Thomas Morgan, 58, of Beaver Falls reported injuries. Matheny was cited for following too closely while Flinner was ticketed for an expired inspection sticker.

•Accident. No injuries were reported in a three-car accident that took place at 7:40 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 376, west of the Beaver exit, in Brighton Township. Police said Tory B. Cardwell, 19, of Beaver was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and Rita K. Deem, 43, of Negley, Ohio, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire. The pair were stopped in a traffic prior to entering a construction zone. Police said Ryan D. Veiock, 20, of Wampum was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, which failed to stop in time and initiated a chain-reaction accident. Veiock was cited for careless driving.

•Accident. An unknown driver caused a two-car accident at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 376 west in Brighton Township. Police said the unknown operator of a Mitsubishi Eclipse made an unsafe lane change. The action forced Jose P. Alisasis, 20, of Imperial, Pa., who was driving a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT, to lose control and strike a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, operated by Lisa C. Gump, 33, of New Castle. Gump was taken to the Medical Center, Beaver, for treatment of minor injuries.
