On the Record: Today's births, police items and district judge reports




To Markita Lee of New Castle and Torlando Hopson of Farrell, a daughter on June 27, 2013.

To Ashley George of New Castle and Rodnie Tedrow of New Castle a son on June 26, 2013.



•Theft. Scrap vehicle parts  were reported stolen from Princeton Auto Repair on Church Road on June 21.

•Theft. Four jars of honey were reported stolen from a front-yard stand on Rose Point Road, Slippery Rock Township on June 18.

•Accident Police said Michael B. Church, 26, of New Castle was driving  west on Route 208 in Washington Township at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, and apparently failed to negotiate a curve at Fassinger Lane. His car went off   the road, hit an embankment and overturned. Church was treated at Jameson Hospital then released.

•Theft. A purse was stolen from a car parked   McConnell’s Mill in Slippery Rock Township, between 5 and 5:30 p.m.  May 27.


District judges


New Castle police charged the following:

•John Glenn Salomon Jr., 27, of New Castle, three counts each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

•Roger Jason Gray, 39, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Robert Lee Presnar Jr., 28, of New Castle, criminal mischief.

•Robert Wayne Hoon, 30, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Adrian Nichole Calhoun, 27, of New Castle,  prostitution, intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Dewon R. Harper, 24, of New Castle, defiant and criminal trespass.

•Alexis Donnell, 18, of New Castle, disorderly house.

•Robin Donnell, 40, of New Castle, disorderly house.

New Castle's code enforcement department charged the following:

•Paula J. Gibson, 44, of New Castle, failure to cut weeds or grass.

•Dale Gibson, of New Castle, failure to cut weeds or grass.

•Mashood O. Raheem, of New Castle, two counts of failure to cut weeds or grass.

•Norman L. Baxter, 21, of New Castle, failure to cut weeds or grass.
